Dr Daniel Owens
Intensivist/Anaesthetist, Te Tai Tokerau - Northern, NZ
Dr Owens is a UK dual trained Intensivist and Anaesthetist and since moving to New Zealand 6 years ago he has gained fellowship of both CICM and ANZCA. He is currently the Clinical Director of the Intensive Care Unit of Whangarei Hospital, Te Tai Tokerau.
He has an interest in aeromedical retrieval and has been the lead for aeromedical transport for Te Tai Tokerau for the last 3 years. He is an enthusiastic teacher and helped establish a regional Critical Care teaching programme for registrars between Te Tai Tokerau and Te Tai Tumai. He also has a research interest in Microbiology and ICU. When not working he spends time with his family and is a national level football referee. |
