Annie Egan

Pharmacist, Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, Nelson

Annie is an ICU pharmacist who has practiced in critical care in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom for 30 years. She has been involved in the teaching and training of ICU pharmacists in New Zealand and Australia and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Hospital Pharmacists Association (NZHPA).  She established the SHPA Critical Care Committee of Special Practice when working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and mentors ICU Pharmacists in New Zealand.

She has been involved in the ANZICS ICU minimum workforce standards project, is a member of the ANZICS ICU Clinical Leadership program and the South Island ICU Alliance Group. Her current focus is on leading and developing a critical care pharmacist workforce that enhances the support into intensive care.

​Annie moved from Melbourne with her family to her hometown of Nelson to make the most of  everything the region has to offer. She works in Nelson Hospital Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit.
