Kim Parker
Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) in ICU,
Canterbury DHB, Christchurch, NZ
Kim is currently an ACNM (Associate Clinical Nurse Manager) in ICU, Christchurch. She was part of the team who faced the challenging experience of being on clinically during and after the March 15 Mosque Terrorist attacks. She is incredibly proud of the ICU team in particular the nursing colleagues who worked tirelessly in extraordinary circumstances, and always with huge compassion to our Muslim family. We are indebted to them for teaching us graciousness in the face of adversity, our team and community is stronger because of it.
Kim has strong interests in Neuroscience nursing, long term patient care and dealing with families in crisis. Her biggest passion is rewarding expert nursing care at the bedside and is hoping to explore this further in the future. She has over 20 years nursing experience mainly in ICU & Neurosciences and has been lucky enough to experience a variety of nursing senior roles in particular enjoying research & education. |
